- Ratusz The Old Town Hall on the Rynek: the seat of Wrocław's city council and courts, built in stages from the end of the 13th century into the 16th, now home to the Museum of Bourgeois Art.
- Cathedral The Gothic Archcathedral of St John the Baptist on Ostrów Tumski, badly damaged in 1945 and rebuilt in the years after.
- Panorama Racławicka A painting 15 by 114 metres, made by Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak for the centenary of the Kościuszko Uprising, shown in Lwów in 1894 and in Wrocław since 1985.
- Museum The National Museum in Wrocław, housed in a building put up in 1883–1886 as the seat of the Province of Silesia's administration, on the south bank of the Oder.
- Centennial Hall A reinforced-concrete hall designed by Max Berg, built in 1911–1913 and on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2006.
- Most Tumski The steel bridge of 1889 between Piasek island and Ostrów Tumski, once hung with couples' padlocks, which are now forbidden.
- Rynek The Market Square, laid out after 1241 and rebuilt after 1945, with the Ratusz in the middle.
- Hala Targowa The market hall: a brick building with two towers, whose roof rests on reinforced-concrete arches.
- University of Wrocław The Baroque main building on the Odra, begun in 1728 for a Jesuit university.
- Opera Wrocławska The city theatre of 1841, home to the Wrocław opera since 1945.
- Church of St Elizabeth The Gothic church by the Rynek, burned in 1975 and 1976, and rebuilt over more than twenty years.
- White Stork Synagogue Built in 1829, vandalised but not burned in 1938, restored as a place of worship and a cultural centre.
- Zoo and Afrykarium The city's zoological garden, open to the public since 1865, with the Afrykarium, an oceanarium of African animals, added in 2014.
- Japanese Garden A garden in Szczytnicki Park, laid out in 1913 for the Centennial Exhibition and reopened in 1999 after restoration.
- Iglica A steel spire next to the Centennial Hall, put up in 1948 for the Recovered Territories Exhibition.
- Multimedia Fountain A show of water, light and music at the Pergola beside the Centennial Hall, opened on 4 June 2009.
- Kolejkowo A model-railway exhibition on the first floor of Sky Tower, with miniature trains and a miniature Wrocław.
- Wrocław Główny The main railway station: a brick Neo-Gothic building, built in 1855–1857 and renovated in 2010–2012.
- Jaś i Małgosia Two houses named after Hansel and Gretel. Małgosia is the seat of the Society of Friends of Wrocław.
- Renoma A department store on ulica Świdnicka, opened on 2 April 1930 as the Wertheim store and rebuilt and extended in 2009.
- NFM The National Forum of Music: a concert-hall building on plac Wolności, designed by Kuryłowicz & Associates and opened in 2015.
- Sky Tower A skyscraper on ulica Powstańców Śląskich with an observation deck and, on its first floor, Kolejkowo.
- Pręgierz The pillory on the Rynek: a replica, put up in 1985, of the original of 1492.
- Witches' Bridge Mostek Czarownic, also called Mostek Pokutnic: a bridge joining the two towers of the Church of St Mary Magdalene.
- Polinka The cable car over the Odra that links the Wrocław University of Science and Technology buildings on Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego with those on ulica Na Grobli.
- Gas lamps Gas street lamps light the lanes of Ostrów Tumski, and a lamplighter, the latarnik, lights them each evening and puts them out in the morning.
- Stadion Wrocław A stadium at aleja Śląska 1, officially opened in September 2011 and one of the venues of UEFA Euro 2012.
- Wieża ciśnień The water tower by aleja Wiśniowa and ulica Sudecka, built in 1905 to a design by the German architect Karl Klimm.
- Plac Solny The Salt Square, a square in Wrocław beside the Rynek, the Market Square.
