Wrocław Zoo
The city's zoological garden, open to the public since 1865, with the Afrykarium, an oceanarium of African animals, added in 2014.
What it is
The Ogród Zoologiczny we Wrocławiu is at ulica Wróblewskiego 1–5, close to the Centennial Hall. It first opened its gates to visitors on 10 July 1865, when the city was Breslau.
The Afrykarium
The Afrykarium is an oceanarium built inside the zoo and given over to African animals and habitats. It opened in 2014.
It is laid out by region, including the Red Sea, East Africa, the Mozambique Channel, the Skeleton Coast and the Congo. The Mozambique Channel tank has an underwater tunnel for visitors.
Visiting
The Afrykarium is one of the zoo's pavilions. The Centennial Hall is close by. More places to see are listed on the landmarks page.
