Ski trips from Wrocław

Ski areas a visitor can reach from Wrocław in a day: by train on both sides of the Karkonosze, Polish and Czech, or on an organised coach trip.

Polish side

Szklarska Poręba

SkiArena Szrenica has 12 km of runs, all with snowmaking. Chairlifts climb from the town up Szrenica, and in winter the six-seat Karkonosz Express runs as well. Trains of Koleje Dolnośląskie (KD) and PKP Intercity run from Wrocław Główny to Szklarska Poręba Górna; until 27 November 2026 buses replace them between Jelenia Góra and Szklarska Poręba Górna. More on the town is on the Szklarska Poręba page.

Karpacz

Karpacz Ski Arena's runs come down from Kopa and Złotówka, below Śnieżka, and a chairlift climbs from Karpacz up to Kopa. Trains run from Wrocław Główny to Jelenia Góra, and KD's line D62 goes on to Karpacz. More on the town is on the Karpacz page.

Czech side

Harrachov

Harrachov, in the Czech Krkonoše, has the ski area of Sportovní areál Harrachov, with a chairlift on Čertova hora. KD and České dráhy run line D61 across the border from Szklarska Poręba Górna through Harrachov to Liberec, so from Wrocław it is the train to Szklarska Poręba Górna and a change there. Check how you get from the station to the lifts before you set out.

By coach

In winter, travel organisers in Wrocław run one-day coach trips to the ski areas of Zieleniec and Czarna Góra, in the Kłodzko Valley. The coach leaves Wrocław in the morning and is back the same evening. There are several organisers, and this page names none of them.

Checked 25 October 2026 Whether the lifts run depends on snow and wind, and seasons, prices and timetables change every year, so this page prints none. Check the ski area's own page and the operators' timetables for the day you go, and look at the last train back before the lifts close. After 27 November, check that trains run through to Szklarska Poręba Górna again.
